MAVEN Project is pleased to announce receipt of a $75,000 from the Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation Inc. to support its “Advancing Health Care Access: Building a Stronger Future for Rural Communities” initiative. This funding will advance MAVEN Project’s efforts to expand its proven telehealth model, connecting frontline providers in rural and frontier communities with a national network of experienced medical specialists for consultation, education, and mentoring.

The grant will help strengthen access to high-quality specialty care for medically underserved communities in states such as Montana, Washington, Wyoming, and others, where provider shortages, geographic isolation, and health disparities remain persistent challenges. Through this support, MAVEN Project will continue to enhance care quality, reduce unnecessary referrals, and empower rural healthcare providers with timely, expert guidance.

“We are deeply grateful to Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation for investing in our mission to improve healthcare access for those who need it most,” said Meredith Schanda, Interim CEO & COO of MAVEN Project. “This funding will help us deliver vital support to primary care providers serving thousands of low-income patients in hard-to-reach areas.”

“This MAVEN Project initiative reduces the obstacles the frontier healthcare community faces, not only in treating illness, but in preventing it” observes Dan Houghton, Executive Director of the Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation. “By supporting the safety net clinics, MAVEN Project’s work will benefit both the frontline provider and the rural patient. Coverys is confident in the success and sustainability of “Advancing Health Care Access: Building a Stronger Future for Rural Communities” initiative.
