Launched in 2014 with a vision to ensure comprehensive care for all, MAVEN Project is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a transformational $1 million dollar matching gift from Jay Gellert. Mr. Gellert, the former CEO & President of Health Net, Inc., has served on MAVEN Project’s Board of Directors for ten years and pledged the matching gift in recognition of MAVEN Project founder Dr. Laurie Green’s visionary efforts to provide underserved communities with the highest level of comprehensive care.

A veteran healthcare industry leader based in California throughout his professional career, Mr. Gellert has supported the MAVEN Project from its earliest days and recognized that Dr. Green’s innovative solution to alleviating healthcare disparities had the potential to impact communities nationwide. This growth, however, would only be possible through the philanthropic championing of supporters like Mr. Gellert. Now that MAVEN Project has reached the milestone of a decade of growth, beginning in 2014 with 3 partnership clinics in 2 states and expanding to 392 clinics in 26 states today, Gellert sees the opportunity to celebrate MAVEN Project’s impact and invest in its future.

Gellert shared, “MAVEN Project’s success stems from a generous community of physician volunteers who empower clinicians in the most challenging circumstances. They dedicate their time and talent for the sole purpose of providing every patient with the highest level of care. In turn, I am proud to support their work by offering a matching gift — especially at this pivotal moment in MAVEN Project history.”

For those considering a gift to MAVEN Project, Mr. Gellert will match every dollar up to $1 million, doubling the impact of every gift. For additional information on ways to support MAVEN Project’s 10th Anniversary campaign, or to make a gift online, visit https://mavenproject.org/donate/.
